Hi, My name is Jesika, and I am currently an Editor for a local cable TV talk show. I recently met Apple and it’s protege the iPhone, and it’s been a love affair ever since! In my spare time (between downloading apps, and telling everyone about them), I like to tinker around with my Imac, Mac Pro, Macbook Pro, Ipod touch. I’m so excited to be a part of this team, and I hope you enjoy my reviews!
My Top 10 Apps
1) Facebook – Still anxious to get the 3.1 update with push notification. Still this app is a great way to keep in contact with my FB friends and family. I can’t think of the last time I logged into Facebook from the computer.
2) Tweetie 2 – This apps UI is state of the art for iPhone – It allows you to stay up to date with all your twitter friends. The ability to pull the screen down to refresh is awesome. The swipe action to re-tweet or get contact info is what using and iPhone is all about.
3) Beejive IM – I use google chat, aol, yahoo, and msn instant messenger. This app flawlessly solves the problem of signing into different chat clients. I can access all my accounts from this one app. It has push notification too.
4) shoot it! – Great for sending postcards while vacationing. Find something interesting, take a picture of it with your iPhone camera, choose a contact in your phone and a full resolution color postcard is sent to the contact. As simple as 1, 2, 3.
5) Babelshot – A great way to translate writing in a different language. Just take a picture of the words and Babelshot will translate it for you.
6) RedLaser – And app that again shows off the ability of the iphone. In a store and see something you like but not sure if you can get it for less online. Just hold the product barcode in the RedLaser scanning area for a few moments and it will automatically search online for you for the best price.
7) Ping! – This app is one of my favorite just because before I became an iPhone owner I was a Blackberry user. When I first switched to iPhone the only thing I missed was the Blackberry Messenger. This app totally solved that.
8) ReelDirector – This app is the closest thing you can get to iMovie editing on your iPhone. This app allows you to edit your movie footage, add credits, merge footage together. Just tons of fun.
9) Trapster – Beneficial for my foot that occasionally gets lead in it causing me to speed. This app alerts me of police traps, red light cameras, and other incidents that could disturb my trip.
10) Fandango – I love this app because I can be anywhere and effortlessly watch a preview of a movie in or coming to the theater, see showing times, and buy my ticket right from my phone.
