Ever since I bought my iPhone 3GS in June, I always had a maroon case covering it to protect my phone. It was my first iPhone purchase, so I was very protective after seeing people with cracked screens and terrible scratches on their iPhone. For such a nice device, I never understood why people would never take complete care of their Apple iPhone. Needless to say, when Nicole asked me to do a review of a skin that would make me take off my case, I was not all for it. The last 10 days have had me impressed. I have grown to love my skin so much, I refuse to put on another case.
Ottoskins has created a green, thin layer skin that has an old-school, artistic, Japanese dragon on the back, surrounding the yin-yang symbol and above a little house. The front consists of a yin-yang symbol on the top left and also has holes for the top sensors, the screen, speaker, and home button. The way the dragon looks is beautiful and respectable to how Japanese art was in the 1800s. The skin is a dark green, so it blends in well with my black 3GS. I do not how it would look on a white 3GS, but I would recommend it for iPhone users who have black backcases. The way it feels makes it seem like there is not a skin on the phone, which is a plus.
For $15, I find this a great deal if you are looking for a really nice skin. I am a little biased since I am into Asian culture, but the dragon looks far better than my bulging maroon case. It also feels great and looks great. I doubt I will take it off anytime soon.
